Our work depends on ServiceNow Administrator joining our IT Technology Operations division within the NCIS ITD organization in Quantico, VA.
The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) is an organization of over 2,200 personnel of which 700 serve at HQ and the remaining staff serve at offices worldwide. NCIS is the Department of Navy (DON) component with primary responsibility for criminal investigation, law enforcement (LE), counter-terrorism (CT), counterintelligence (CI), and cyber matters. NCIS not only has primary responsibility for all criminal investigative, CI, CT, and cyber matters within the DON, but it also has exclusive investigative jurisdiction in non-combat matters involving actual, potential, or suspected criminal, terrorism, sabotage, espionage, and subversive activities.
HOW OUR SERVICE NOW ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Must have experience install/upgrade of ServiceNow on self-hosted environments
Proficient in Linux and possess good knowledge and understanding of Oracle Database, on-premises environment
Familiar with the ServiceNow directory structure in Linux
Experience with Apache web server and tomcat config
Experience generating Certificate Signing Request and requesting/installing government issued certificates on ServiceNow environments and Java
Administer and maintain the ServiceNow platform in a self-hosted environment, ensuring its stability, performance, and availability. This includes recurring upgrades of the application in addition to updates and hotfixes of installed store apps.
Experience logging in to ServiceNow portal and understand various documentations and articles on relevant topics
Experience with ServiceNow Hiwave and submitting tickets as needed and request support with vendor
Support the configuration of ServiceNow in a variety of areas including, but not limited to Service Portal, Change, Problem, Incident, Service Catalog, Knowledge, Release/SDLC, Configuration Management (CMDB), Discovery, Project, Reporting, and SLAs
Collaborate with team members to define, analyze, understand and document business and technical requirements.
Offer technical solutions to address requirements, evaluate alternate solutions, and perform analysis to determine technical courses of action.
Create technical architecture, design and user guide documentation.
Author, review, and lead the creation of white papers and contract artifacts.
Work with end users, stakeholders, and management to define and create reports, dashboards, and data analysis products.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED (Required):
Security Clearance Level: Active Secret clearance
Required Experience:
7+ years of relevant IT experience
5+ years of ServiceNow implementation/upgrade and administrative experience
5+ years of experience deploying and configuring ServiceNow modules like ITSM/ITOM/HR/ITBM/SecOps solutions (any or all) in an enterprise environment
High Level Linux experience, to include deployment of ServiceNow on Linux Operating System and knowledge of Oracle Database
Can identify, understand, document, and create functionality aligning with customer value streams.
Can produce level of estimates and basic deployment plans for ServiceNow functionality
Strong organization and time management skills while working in a rapid software development environment and end users
Excellent collaboration skills and can effectively works in a team environment.
Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
Required Certifications: Security+ CE, ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
Education: BS Degree or equivalent Computer Science or IT related degree
Location: Hybrid - 3 days onsite at Quantico, VA / 2 days remote after 30 days of hire.

The likely salary range for this position is $114,750 - $155,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
